Speculations are high in anticipation of such lists from various countries. Such periods are vulnerable to acts of misinformation and disinformation. An X user, @b_kusi1, in a post shared a list claiming that it is England’s list for the 2026 World Cup.

DUBAWA’s checks reveal that although other national teams have released their squad list for the World Cup, the English FA and Thomas Tuchel, manager of the Three Lions, are set to release the squad list on May 22, 2026.
In a post on X, the official handle of the English FA announced on May 15, 2026, that the squad list is set to be released “next Friday.” A follow-up post on May 18, 2026, corroborates that the list will be released this week.
The release of England’s squad will gain traction from major sports websites in England. However, as of May 19, 2026, there are no publications on the release of the England squad for the World Cup.
