Announcing DUBAWA Digital Skills and Fact-checking Training for journalists in Nigeria, Ghana, and Liberia

DUBAWA is excited to announce its upcoming fact-checking and digital verification capacity-building programme for journalists in non-urban communities in Nigeria, Ghana, and Liberia.

In today’s fast-paced media landscape, journalists must have the necessary skills to identify and verify information accurately and quickly. Therefore, this capacity-building workshop is meticulously crafted to equip journalists with essential skills, ensuring they can navigate the ever-changing world of news with precision and integrity.

Key Training Highlights

  • Learn to discern and combat the proliferation of false information.
  • Harness the power of Google tools to bolster reporting and fact-checking.
  • The training will feature a dynamic curriculum comprising lectures, interactive workshops, and practical exercises.
  • All sessions will be led by seasoned journalists and experienced fact-checkers who bring practical insights and hands-on expertise to the learning experience.


The workshop is open to journalists working in non-urban communities in Nigeria, Ghana, and Liberia who are passionate about honing their fact-checking and verification competencies. You can apply whether you are a seasoned journalist or a budding one.
