DUBAWA is excited to announce its upcoming fact-checking and electoral information literacy capacity-building programme for journalists and students in Kumasi and Accra. By empowering journalists and tertiary students with essential fact-checking skills, we seek to enhance media literacy and confront misinformation head-on.
Central to our mission is disseminating knowledge about the electoral process among Ghanaian citizens, fostering greater engagement and accountability. Through these concerted efforts, we anticipate a tangible impact – a media environment characterised by heightened accountability and reliability, safeguarding Ghana’s democratic progress.
Key Training Highlights
- Learn to discern and combat the proliferation of false information.
- Harness the power of digital tools to bolster reporting and fact-checking.
- The training will feature a dynamic curriculum comprising lectures, interactive workshops, and practical exercises.
- All sessions will be led by experienced fact-checkers who bring practical insights and hands-on expertise to the learning experience.
Eligibility
The workshop is open to journalists and tertiary students in Kumasi and Accra passionate about honing their fact-checking and verification competencies.
