Claim: An X user, The Middle East, claims Saudi Arabia has announced to join forces with Qatar to attack Israel.

Verdict: Misleading. Although Saudi Arabia has condemned the act by Israel, there is no evidence that it will join Qatar in attacks against Israel.

Various sovereignties have expressed concern over Israel’s Sep. 9 attack on Qatar. Many have condemned the act and described it as “a violation of international law and Qatar’s sovereignty.”
Amidst the growing concerns about the violent act, an X user, @A_M_R_M1, in a post claims Saudi Arabia has announced it will join Qatar in an attack against Israel.
“Breaking: Saudi Arabia announces it stands with Qatar and will join Qatar in an attack against Israel,” the post was captioned.
On Sept. 10, 2025, the post garnered 2 million views, 1,700 bookmarks, 59,000 likes, and 9,000 reposts.
In the heat of what many have described as “flagrant violation of international law,” DUBAWA decided to ascertain if Saudi Arabia has indeed announced to join Qatar in an attack against Israel.
Verification
Israel claims the attack was targeted at Hamas leadership, who were in Doha for mediations for peace for the Gaza conflict. Qatar has been a key mediator in the Gaza conflict ceasefire talks. The Arabian country has hosted several negotiation talks with both Israeli and Hamas leaders visiting Doha.
DUBAWA’s checks revealed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia issued a statement condemning the Sep. 9 Israeli attack. The statement described the attack as a “blatant violation” of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar.
“The Kingdom affirms its full solidarity and support for Qatar, placing all its capabilities at its disposal to assist in any measures it may take, while warning of the grave consequences of the Israeli occupation’s persistent criminal assaults and its blatant violations of the principles of international law and all international norms,” the statement added.
Although the statement pledges support for measures Qatar “may take,” there is no mention of a joint attack in retaliation against Israel yet.
Also, given the magnitude of the issue and its potential to spark global disruptions, an announcement by oil-rich Saudi Arabia would have gained international traction. However, as of the publication of this report, no global media outlet has published Saudi Arabia’s announcement to “join Qatar in attack against Israel.”
Major publications focused on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, visiting Qatar to show solidarity after the attack. Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman are also scheduled to visit Qatar to exhibit regional support for Qatar.
Conclusion
Although Saudi Arabia has condemned and offered solidarity to Qatar after the September 9 attack in Doha, the claim that it has announced to join Qatar in attacks against Israel is misleading.
