On February 18, 2026, a Ghanaian Facebook user, Amponsah Kelvin, also known as DJKelvyn Ghana, posted in a Facebook group named “Myjoyonline,” a group not affiliated with Multimedia Group Limited, that a Ghanaian broadcaster based in the United States, Kevin Taylor, had been shot. He also posted the claim on his Facebook feed.
The post featured a thumbnail showing a man with visible blood stains on his chest after allegedly being shot. The image also showed passersby conveying him to the hospital. The caption read:
“NPP Women Will Be Happy, They have Shot NDC Kevin Taylor, Sad Video About Him Drops.”
At the time of filing this report, the Facebook post had garnered 54 comments and 46 likes. Many users expressed their views on the claim. While some questioned the story’s authenticity, others sought verification, contributing to its spread.
Interestingly, a YouTube blogger known as Amazing TV Ghana, which has 353k followers, had posted a similar claim a day earlier, on February 17, 2026. The host shared a video captioned:
“NPP Women Will Be Happy, They Have Shot NDC Kevin Taylor, Sad Video About Him Drops.” He garnered about 26k views as of February 20, 2026.
Nonetheless, the artwork later shared by DJKelvyn Ghana on February 18 appears to be the original thumbnail used for Amazing TV Ghana’s YouTube video.
Meanwhile, some of the comments under the YouTube video debunked the story, but others appeared to take the claim at face value. A user identified as @johnobeng5682 commented:
“If it’s true, then it’s good news. Because election time, he told us that he would kill people.”
The comment suggests the user may have relied solely on the caption, without verifying the video’s content.
On Facebook, a user named Abraham Aikins queried:
“Is it true Kevin Taylor has been shot? Please allow freedom of speech.”
Another user, Sammy Adjei, posted a threatening remark:
“His time will come… Kevin wished others worse than that, so his wish would definitely come to him.”

The mixed reactions demonstrate how sensational and politically charged claims can quickly fuel confusion and misinformation across platforms.
To prevent further misinformation stemming from the rapid spread of unverified claims, DUBAWA conducted an independent investigation.
Verification
DUBAWA ran the circulating artwork through Google’s Reverse Image Search. The results showed no credible media house had reported that Kevin Taylor had been shot.
Additionally, none of the major Ghanaian news outlets, including GhanaWeb, JoyNews, Citi Newsroom, or Graphic Online, had published any report confirming such an incident.
A review of Kevin Taylor’s official social media platforms and his media brand, Loud Silence Media, shows that he remained active, streaming live on Facebook as of February 20, 2026.
Further inspection of the artwork revealed visible signs of digital manipulation, including collage-style composition, inconsistent lighting between scenes, artificial blood effects, and low image resolution. The image also lacks standard camera metadata typically found in authentic photographs.
These findings indicate that the image was digitally created or heavily edited, likely using AI-assisted tools, and repurposed as a misleading thumbnail to attract engagement.
Conclusion
The claim that Kevin Taylor has been shot by unknown assailants is false. The image circulating on Facebook and YouTube is digitally manipulated and AI-generated. As of February 20, 2026, Kevin Taylor remains active online and continues to stream via his official platforms.
