Now Accepting Applications:  Fact-checking for Journalists Practicing in Non-urban Communities in Ghana

Dubawa invites applications for the second phase of its project: Fact-checking for Journalists in Non-urban Communities in Ghana.

We are looking for young and seasoned journalists working in non-urban communities in the Volta, Bono, and Western regions of Ghana to join the fight against misinformation and disinformation to promote accountability journalism in the Ghanaian media ecosystem.

Participating journalists will acquire knowledge and skills in fact-checking during a two-day residential training, followed by a three-month post-training mentorship for selected journalists.

To be considered for this training, the applicants should:

  • Be working with certified media organisations across communities within or around the following regions:
  • Volta
  • Bono
  • Western
  • Be willing to travel to designated central points within the listed regions for a two-day residential training.
  • Be willing to participate in a three-month post-training mentorship

Interested applicants should submit their applications by filling out this FORM by October 9th, 2023.

A copy of the applicant’s CV and ID will be required.
