On Saturday, September 9, 2023, Ghanaian boxer Seth Gyimah, a.k.a. Freezy Macbones, suffered defeat at the hands of Senegal’s Seydou Konate in a qualification match for the 2024 Olympic Games.

The Senegalese boxer earned a unanimous 4-0 decision from the judges, dashing Seth Gyimah’s hopes of representing Ghana at the Olympic Games.

Following the defeat, some social media users shared a video of him expressing strong emotions.

“Whatever results happen there, I don’t care. I see myself as a winner no matter what,” the boxer told the interviewer.

Not only did the captions of these posts suggest that the video was related to his Olympic Qualifier bout, but the views expressed in the comment section of some of these posts give the impression of increasing believability.

Some users who have made the post can be found here, here, and here.

DUBAWA decided to investigate this claim because it suggested the boxer did not care about his defeat in the qualifier to the Olympic Games 2024 despite showing a lot of promise.
