Claim: A photo of a mansion has gone viral online with social media users claiming it belongs to actress Jackie Appiah and is located in Ghana.
The mansion is located in Los Angeles, California and is not the local residence of the actress.

In June 2022, famous Ghanaian actress, Jackie Appiah, made headlines with a viral video showing her residence in Ghana.
Her friend took the video when she paid a visit and was given a tour of the house.
Since then, some social media users have posted a photo of a mansion claiming that it is the local residence of the actress.
Some of these posts can be seen here, here, here, here, and here.
Several online news portals have also used the photo as can be seen here, here, here, here, and here.
One of the social media posts, as can be seen here, has been shared 972 times.
Verification
In investigating the claim, a reverse image search was conducted and that led us to zillow.com, the website of the American tech real-estate marketplace, Zillow.
Using the same photo, they gave the location of the mansion as 1469 Bel Air Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90077, an unmistakable American address.
Another website that came up in our search, luxury-houses.net, gave a further description of the building.
According to luxury-houses, the Bel Air Mansion “is a stunning brand new Contemporary Mediterranean home now available for sale, this home is located at 1469 Bel Air Rd, Los Angeles, California offering 7 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms with over 12,300 square feet of living spaces.”
They led us to Google Maps with the exact location of the building.
With the assistance of Google Satellite images, we found that the viral photo that was claimed to be the local residence of Actress Jackie Appiah is actually a Bel Air Mansion located in Los Angeles, California, United States of America.
Furthermore, visually analyzing the video that generated the online conversation about Jackie Appiah’s local residence, we found that it was different from the photo that had also gone viral.
For instance, from the video, it would be observed that the swimming pool is on the same level as the entrance to the house.
However, in the viral photo, the swimming pool is on a lower level with a staircase leading upstairs to enter the house.
Conclusion
The mansion that has gone viral is located in Los Angeles, California, and not the local residence of Jackie Appiah.
