On February 12, 2026, at about 11:30 am, a Ghanaian Facebook user, Meshack Ofori Agyemang, also known as Okyeman Ba Kwame, posted a video alleging that military officers and police personnel had engaged in a confrontation at the Accra Business Centre, popularly known as Tudu.

The caption read: “The Military and Police fight at Accra Business Centre. This is the proper resetting John Mahama promised us.”

As of February 15, the post had generated more than 725 reactions, 412 comments, 249 shares, and over 106,000 views.

The footage shows military personnel storming the Accra Regional Police Headquarters at Tudu, where they appeared to have a tense face-off with police officers stationed at the entrance.

The same video was circulated by other social media users. Richard Obeng Bediako, identified as a journalist on Facebook, shared it at 12:36 pm on the same day with the caption: “The military and police fought in a clash at the Accra Business Centre.” His post attracted 5,900 views and several comments, with some users questioning what had triggered the alleged clash.

Another user, Fuseini Lamin, shared the video at 1:24 pm to his 24,000 followers, writing: “Military clashes with Ghana Police in the Business centre of the capital, Accra. Resetting is on course.”

The posts generated mixed reactions. While some users expressed concern about tensions between the security agencies, others interpreted the incident as a response to perceived disorder in the Tudu area.

Reacting to the post, Martin Essuman wrote, “Our security forces shouldn’t be doing this; they should show respect for each other.”

Nonetheless, Edward Wiafe, thinking the clash is about how uneasy Tudu’s environment is, said, “This is good cos the place is choked and a breeding ground for thieves and uncleanness.”

Given the potential to mislead the public about a security disturbance in Accra, DUBAWA investigated the claim.

Verification

DUBAWA’s checks revealed that the circulating video bears a TikTok watermark with the handle @kingofjungle332. A review of the account shows that the video was originally posted on March 29, 2023, not in 2026 as currently claimed.

Further keyword searches on Google led to reports published in 2023 by major Ghanaian news outlets, including Myjoyonline and Adomonline.

According to a report by Myjoyonline.com, the clash occurred on March 28, 2023, in Accra’s Central Business District. A source cited in the report explained that some military officers allegedly assaulted a police officer who was riding a motorbike over a traffic infraction, which escalated into a confrontation.

At the time of the 2023 incident, both security agencies had yet to issue official public statements.

Conclusion

The claim that military personnel and police officers clashed at the Accra Business Centre on February 12, 2026, is false. The video, from March 2023, is being recirculated without context to suggest it is about a recent incident.
